Reporting to the Neighbourhood Team Manager, responsible for maintaining the inventory of equipment, instruments and supplies; and maintaining, repairing and cleaning equipment for Community Health Programs. Preparing and packaging instruments for shipment to Central Processing for sterilization. Assists in updating and maintaining resource materials.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience
High school graduation or equivalent.
Knowledge of filing and record keeping.
Skills and knowledge of the Sterile Supply and Processing Aid course.
Skills And Abilities
- Ability to work independently, organizing and coordinating own work schedule.
- Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of the policies and procedures for maintaining asepsis and processing sterile supplies.
- Ability to maintain, stock and order supplies.
- Communication skills including collaboration and conflict resolution.
- Knowledge of a variety of equipment used in Community Health.
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
- Skills to do or ensure minor repairs of equipment used in Community Health.
- Good knowledge of suppliers and the items they carry.
- Must possess a valid British Columbia Drivers License and have a vehicle available for work.
