Summary:
Heavy Equipment operators operate Heavy Equipment such as backhoes, bulldozers, loaders and graders to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials during construction and related activities. Operators are expected to be able to work independently as well as part of a team and will be expected to communicate effectively while maintaining the highest safety practices.
Responsibilities:
- Tractor Trailer
- Loader
- Excavator
- Grader
- Backhoe
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refill equipment.
- Labor work including but not limited to shovelling, moving materials etc.
- Other related duties as required
Qualifications:
- Heavy Equipment Operator Certificate- Class 1, 3, 5, 8 and 9 Drivers License
- 1-5 years experience in operation of equipment mentioned above
- A combination of relevant education and/or experience will be considered
Assets:
- Class 1, 3, 5, 8 and 9 Drivers License
- Heavy Equipment Operator Journeyperson Certificate
