Key Position within Ponoka Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) Home Services providing connected, accessible, client-centered care. The Wetaskiwin Home Care Manager coordinates the Home Care Program for that area, which includes all aspects of staffing, meeting clients' needs, and improving the quality of care within the scope of the Home Care contract with Alberta Health Services (AHS). As one of the main contacts for staff, this position is also responsible for providing proactive and strategic human resources support, advice, and expertise, as well as providing direction, team leadership and organization through interpretations of policies and procedures and resolution of issues to ensure effective and efficient operations of daily activities.
Key Accountabilities:
Home Care Coordination
· Oversees all operations of the Home Care Program for the Wetaskiwin area.
· Provide leadership to the Wetaskiwin Home Care-Ponoka FCSS authority in keeping with Ponoka FCSS and AHS policies and procedures.
· Oversee and lend support to the Wetaskiwin Home Care Site Coordinator and the Wetaskiwin Home Care Executive Assistant.
· Collaborate with Ponoka FCSS Home Care Manager in Ponoka Office
· Responds promptly and appropriately to concerns, inquires and requests of clients, their families, Alberta Health Services, and Ponoka FCSS staff.
· Develop trusting relationships with clients/families utilizing effective communication skills and ensuring transparency and respect during interactions.
· Acts as a liaison person with the Wetaskiwin Health Unit, and Home Care Case Managers.
· Addresses client and staff concerns as they arise, according to established policies.
· Communicate effectively with staff to ensure that they receive any necessary client information.
· Ensures that clients receive high-quality care in a safe, competent, and ethical manner.
Human Resources Management
· Oversees and provides leadership to the Wetaskiwin Home Care Site Coordinator and Associated staff.
Culture and Policies
· Utilize established procedures and practices to provide mentoring to staff.
· Lead the team of staff working within the Wetaskiwin site to foster a culture that reflects FCSS and AHS values.
· Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating change management and promoting team development and teamwork among staff.
· Develop, implement, and communicate day-to-day human resource transactions.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $34.13-$40.04 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 21 per week
