Job Profile
The Housekeeping Supervisor is a hands-on, proactive member of the housekeeping team for Scott’s Inn & Suites. The Housekeeping Supervisor will have a crucial role in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and order throughout the Inn. The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership skill, attention to details, and the ability to manage and motivate a team of room attendants.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning of guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness meets or exceeds established standards.
- Train new housekeeping staff on Scott’s Inn policies, procedures, and cleaning standards
- Monitor and manage housekeeping supplies and equipment
- Create and manage housekeeping schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours
- Enforce safety and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and hazard-free environment
- Maintain open and effective communication with other departments, especially the front desk and maintenance teams.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly
- Respond promptly to guests’ requests and concerns related to housekeeping services
- Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel or Inn, leadership experience considered an asset
- Possess a positive attitude and works well with other team members
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate the ability to multitask
- Demonstrates organization and multi-tasking abilities
- Possess good attention to detail and have strong organizational skills
- Must be willing to work in Kamloops, BC
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Physical Requirements
- Ability to pull, push, reach, bend, stoop, kneel and frequently lift to 50 pounds
