HOUSING SUPPORT WORKER

Youth Habilitation Quinte Inc. requires a Housing Support Worker to provide supports and programming to 16 and 17 year old youth with Children’s Aid involvement. This is a permanent position, 28 to 35 hours per week, with benefits and pension plan commencing as soon as possible. The office will be based in Belleville and the position will service Hastings, Prince Edward, and Northumberland Counties.

The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, experience in crisis intervention, strong computer skills, the ability to work well with others, and knowledge of local community resources.

Responsibilities include intake, providing ongoing support to find and maintain housing, case management and life skills programming such as budgeting and household management, and connection to existing supports within the community.

A Bachelor degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience is preferred. A valid Driver’s Licence and personal vehicle is required.
