Job description

Monarch House is a child development centre providing seamless services to families impacted with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental delays.

Our approach to virtual care incorporates the use of advanced, secure virtual technology, and a full-service client concierge, to deliver effective treatment where you can connect directly with your clients to assist in their care as well as facilitate consultations.

As an Direct Support Workeron our team, you are an integral part of our specialized services for clients with Autism Spectrum Disorders or other developmental disabilities. You will work with an interdisciplinary team of experts to support your clients in achieving their goals. Our commitment to excellence goes beyond the way we serve our communities. Job Types: Part-time

Salary: From $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9am-4pm (with evening availability on Tuesdays)

Take an inside look at what you will do each day:

  • Prepare and conduct comprehensive (intensive) ABA therapy sessions
  • Collect and graph data
  • Maintain client binders and materials
  • Maintain daily written communication logs with family and other staff
  • Demonstrate therapy sessions to families and other professionals as required
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
  • Uphold Centre policies and procedures
  • Attend training sessions, workshops, online courses, etc. as set out by Monarch House
  • Attend Monarch House social and public events

Here is what you will need to be successful

  • Experience dealing with individuals with aggressive or challenging behaviors
  • Positive attitude, organized, and passion for learning
  • Basic knowledge in applied behavior analysis principles, implementation, and ethical professional practice
  • Post-graduate certificate in ABA (i.e., BST or ABS certificates) and/or undergraduate degree in psychology or a related field
  • Registered Behavior Technician™ (RBT™) certification or willingness to complete training for RBT certification (within 3 mos.)
  • Flexible schedule
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • Current Criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
  • All team members are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination upon hire or provide a valid medical exemption

Established in 2009 in British Columbia as an interdisciplinary treatment centre for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families, Monarch House has now expanded its geographic network and services to include the full range of services for individuals with academic, behaviour, communication, learning, motor, physical, speech, social and vocational needs.
