A 34 year old woman, with a developmental disability, living with her family in the northwest part of London, is currently seeking support on:
Monday and Wednesday, 7:30am-9am, $50 flat fee
Thursday or Friday, from 7:30am - 3:30pm, $25/hour
Tuesday or Friday, 4 hours bi-weekly, $25/hour
This woman is helpful, social, has a great sense of humor, with a relaxed type of personality and she loves the outdoors. She keeps busy on her iPad, going for walks, doing weekly chores, improving daily life skills. She enjoys workbooks, running and dance/exercise.
This family-directed, 1:1 support arrangement involves meeting the individual at her home and spending time providing support in educational activities, home-based leisure activities, outdoor walks, as well as to encouragement/guidance with healthy GF food choices and serving size. Her goals include learning and maintaining new skills, caring for her space, budgeting and shopping. In the future, she would benefit from and enjoy supported employment/volunteer opportunities. She requires support to attend karate classes and to go to the YMCA
Ideally, the successful candidate will enjoy being active, be outgoing, as well as creative, and have experience supporting adults to participate in their community. Access to a reliable vehicle is required, with appropriate vehicle insurance, as well as three references, First Aid/CPR certification and a Criminal Reference Check.
You will be paid directly by the family, as a self-employed contractor.
