The Human Resource Advisor - Operations will report to the Director HR Operations and Projects. This position will act as an advisor supporting Major Projects by providing coaching to Managers and Employees regarding HR policies, employee relations, performance management, employee engagement, training & development and recruitment.
How will you contribute to the team?
Advise and administer human resources policies, procedures, and programs;
Provide coaching and assistance to Managers through different processes of human resource management including, labour relations, performance management, discipline, absence management (disability leave, paternal leave, unpaid holidays) etc.;
Advise and administer talent development and succession planning initiatives;
Conduct formal investigations to address employee complaints/concerns;
Reviewing and advising on employment change requests including promotions, terminations, transfers, etc.;
Monitor the talent assessment and performance evaluation process. Provide counsel and advice to Managers on these processes;
Collaborate with hiring managers to schedule and participate in interviews as needed; Conduct interviews, explaining benefits summaries, company culture, long-term vision for position, and any other applicable information for candidates; Provide feedback to applicants and candidates who have applied and/or been interviewed; Make recommendations for hire;
Participates in the development of employee engagement activities necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.
Prepare organizational announcements and human resources communications as required;
Special human resources programs and projects based on business needs;
All other duties as assigned
What will you contribute?
Post-secondary school education in Human Resources Management
Minimum three years’ experience in an HR Generalist or HRBP capacity
CHRL Designation or working towards CHRL would be an asset.
Microsoft Office Products
Knowledge of HRIS systems (SAP is considered an asset)
