Human Resources Generalist (12-Month Contract)

As an HR Generalist at Top Aces you will play an important role in supporting the organization's Human Resources function. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, ranging from benefits administration, onboarding of new employees as well as support to the talent acquisition process. The ideal candidate is a versatile professional with an understanding of HR principles, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to contribute to the overall success of the HR department by providing support to various areas of the function.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Educate managers and employees regarding group insurance
• Enroll employees in the group insurance program.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
• Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits-related questions and concerns.
• Administer disability and CNESST cases and follow up on the progress and resolution.
• Manage the onboarding process within the HRIS system (UKG) to ensure completeness and accuracy of information in the system.
• Prepare and maintain various Human Resources records, including employee files, ensuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality of information (i.e. new hire paperwork), coordinating orientation sessions, in order to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
• Support the Talent Acquisition Specialist in recruitment initiatives by managing job postings and creating employment contracts.
• Conduct reference and criminal background checks.
• Manage the applicant tracking system and ensure in the HRIS (UKG)
• Liaise with the Human Resources team to troubleshoot and solve employee issues
• Provide general administrative support to the HR team.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• 2 to 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
• General knowledge of HR practices and, regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both French and English.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
• Previous experience with an HRIS. Experience with UKG an asset
• Previous experience in benefits administration an asset
• Ability to perform all work in support of our Corporate Values of Excellence, Service, Integrity … Together.
• Position requires Canadian Controlled Goods Program Clearance.
