Human Services Counsellor

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications and monitor health conditions
- Implement individualized care plans and document progress
- Support individuals in participating in community activities and social events
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Provide companionship and emotional support

Qualifications:
-Must have Human Services Worker diploma or equivalent such as Social Services Community Worker or Personal Support Worker.

- Previous experience in assisted living, senior care, or dementia care is preferred
- Knowledge of nursing home or caregiving practices is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with meal preparation and basic cooking skills

-Must have valid criminal record check, First Aid, CPR, and proof of education.

Note: This position is 12 hours shifts 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and 8:00 pm to - 8:00 am. This is shift work. Compressed work week.
