We have 2 ice arenas, and we are looking for someone to join our team as a zamboni driver.

Job Description:

As an Ice operator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and safety of the ice surface at our facility. Your primary responsibility will be operating the Zamboni ice resurfacing machine to resurface and maintain the ice to the highest standards. You will work closely with our ice maintenance team to ensure efficient operations and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

- Operate the Zamboni ice resurfacing machine in a safe and efficient manner.

- Perform routine pre- and post-operation inspections of the Zamboni to ensure proper functioning.

- Resurface the ice using the Zamboni according to scheduled maintenance routines and as needed during events.

- Monitor ice conditions and make adjustments to the resurfacing process as necessary to maintain optimal ice quality.

- Assist with general ice maintenance tasks, such as edging and flooding, as directed by the Ice Maintenance Supervisor.

- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, including proper handling of the Zamboni machine and adherence to facility safety policies.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Zamboni and surrounding work areas.

- Communicate effectively with other team members to coordinate ice maintenance activities and ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience operating a Zamboni or similar ice resurfacing machine preferred.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance tasks on the Zamboni.

- Knowledge of ice maintenance techniques and best practices is desirable.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with coworkers.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

- Physical ability to lift and maneuver equipment and perform tasks related to ice maintenance.

Salary: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

• Zamboni Driving: 1 year (preferred)
