Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer
- Mix and apply paint to industrial equipment and structures using various application methods (spray, brush, roller)
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing painting tasks
- Maintain paint equipment and tools in good working condition
- Ensure proper storage and disposal of paint materials
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Industrial Painter or in a similar role is preferred
- Forklift operation experience is a plus
- Basic math skills for measuring and mixing paint quantities
- Mechanical knowledge to understand equipment specifications and painting requirements
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is beneficial
- Ability to assemble and disassemble equipment for painting purposes
- Knowledge of machining processes is a plus
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for surface preparation and painting tasks
- Welding experience is a bonus
- Ability to operate a crane for lifting heavy equipment during painting processes
Education:
- At least Grade 12 or equivalent required.
