Responsibilities: - Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary - Mix and apply paint to surfaces using various techniques such as spraying, rolling, or brushing - Ensure proper adhesion and coverage of paint by following established procedures - Inspect painted surfaces for defects and make necessary touch-ups or repairs - Maintain and clean painting equipment and tools - Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area Skills: - Mechanical knowledge to understand the operation of painting equipment and tools - Basic math skills for measuring and mixing paint quantities - Forklift operation skills for moving materials and equipment as needed - Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize painting processes - Ability to assemble, weld, fabricate, and use cranes for handling large or heavy objects - Proficiency in using power tools for surface preparation or paint application - Familiarity with machining processes for customizing parts or components Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
