INSIDE SALES MANAGER

Full-time permanent role: Timmins, Ontario

Role: The Inside Sales Manager will oversee, train and mentor all the Customer Service and Inside Business Developer team members. This role ensures harmony between the outside sales team, the inside support sales team, the marketing team, and our customers. The overall goal of the Inside Sales Manager is to ensure that the Inside Sales team is delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and contributing to the success of the company.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Customer Support and Strategy: Oversee a team of 7, focused on either outbound call to generating new client leads or the inbound calls focused on customer sales support. Guide team in product sourcing, pricing, and quoting, while identifying lucrative cross and upselling opportunities during customer interactions. Managing the order pipeline, resolve escalated customer issues, implement strategic promotions, and monitor sales statistics for inventory planning.
  • System Management: Ensure accurate product information in Enterprise Resource Planning software by updating details such as stock keeping units, prices, and delivery dates. Additionally, address customer concerns regarding billing, delivery, and pricing discrepancies while coordinating with the Finance team. Oversee vendor communications for price updates and stock availability.
  • People Management: Delegate the workload among all team members and maintain an accountability structure. Cascade and breakdown annual target into achievable quarterly targets for each respective team member to adopt. Monitor customer interactions, score calls, ensure compliance with quality control guidelines and procedures, and provide weekly agent training to improve customer experience. Lead all aspects of the performance management process. Ensure all reasonable precautions have been undertaken, to prevent injuries or accidents in the workplace.

BACKGROUND:

  • Location: · Timmins, Ontario office.
  • Travel Requirement: 95% of time spent in primary office location with 5% travelling to meet with customers or visit other Pepco locations.
  • Typical Schedule: Monday- Friday, 40 hours a week with seldom overtime.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or related field.
  • License: Valid G driver’s license (Ontario).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven management experience within a sale or call center environment or equivalent outside sales experience. Experience in outbound call center and marketing will be considered an asset.
  • Technology: User experience with an Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) platform, Customer Relationship Management software, and proficiency in using Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Additional skills:

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong communication skills, able to speak in front of other and can handle confrontation.
  • Proven experience in strategic upselling and cross-selling, adept at resolving escalated customer issues and collaborating closely with the outside sales team.
