Southeast College is now accepting applications from well-qualified candidates for the position of Instructor, Heavy Equipment Operator in Estevan, SK.
Providing state-of-the-art and industry-approved simulation technology, this course requires one experienced operator who is passionate about the trade, is an effective communicator, and is committed to helping others succeed.
Your role as a member of the College faculty will be supported through instructional materials and administrative resources.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Instruct fieldwork.
* Prepare and facilitate training on up to five different types of Heavy Equipment with a focus to a novice to intermediate skill level. * Transfer knowledge to learners with varying degrees of learning and language skills.
* Provide timely feedback and lead constructive conversations that maintain the integrity of the learning outcomes while supporting student success.
* Serve as internal expert on collaborations for the program such as marketing and student supports.
Qualifications:
* Grade 12 and have supervisory experience.
* Minimum of five years experience operating a variety of Heavy Equipment including Dozer, Excavator, Grader, Rubber Tire Hoe and Skid steer with a minimum of 2000hrs on each piece of equipment.
* Class 1A License.
* A proven and verifiable Safety Record.
* Comfortable with new technology including working with modern equipment simulators and able to adapt to a quickly changing learning environment.
* Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
