Work Arrangements:This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

The role will contribute to Equitable's Data Hub vision by documenting business requirements for the Microsoft Azure Cloud platform, using best practices and industry standards. You will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing, and executing test plans, and reporting on test results. You will also work closely with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure that the deliverables meet the business needs and quality standards.

The Business Systems Analyst will collaborate with the Architects, DevOps Leads and stakeholders to define target state data solutions. This role will be accountable for contributing to the data solution in the Microsoft Azure world. Working closely with current BI team members and business users to address all data and reporting needs for the entire organization.
What you will be doing:
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all data sources in the Azure space
- Gather and document business requirements from clients and stakeholders
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications using Azure DevOps
- Develop and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test data using Azure Test Plans
- Execute test cases, both manually and using automated tools such as Selenium, Jira, or TestRail
- Identify, report, and track software defects and issues using Azure DevOps
- Perform regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing using Azure DevOps
- Collaborate with developers and project managers to resolve issues and ensure software quality using Azure DevOps
- Provide feedback and suggestions for software improvement and enhancement using Azure DevOps
- Prepare and present test reports and metrics to clients and stakeholders
- Stay updated with the latest Azure cloud technologies and best practices
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
- Three years of experience in business analysis and quality assurance testing using Microsoft Azure cloud technologies
- Experience with software development methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall
- Experience in agile methodologies and DevOps tools.
- Experience with testing tools, such as Selenium, Jira, or TestRail
- Knowledge of SQL, HTML, XML, and other scripting languages
- Knowledge of web, mobile, and desktop applications
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Attention to detail and quality orientation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
