As our Intern, Financial Reporting and Audit, you will support ENGIE Canada and ENGIE North America's Financial Reporting and compliance team by coordinating external audits to meet statutory and partnership reporting requirements. You will have the opportunity to assist with financial statement preparation, variance analysis, and notes disclosures. - Compile and update financial statements and supporting documents for audit and regulatory compliance
- Assist in addressing internal and external inquiries, and respond in a timely manner
- Assist in updating audited financial statements roll forward and supporting documents
- Assist in monthly and quarterly financial statements for various partnership entities
- Participate in various process improvements to achieve greater efficiencies
What You'll Bring
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree with a focus in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or have completed one (1) + year of post-secondary degree with a focus on Finance, Accounting or related field
- You are expected to demonstrate basic knowledge of accounting principles and standards
- You are able to work up to 20-40 hours per week
- You can proficiently use MS Office applications (Excel and Word), detail-oriented, and able to work accurately on multiple assignments in a timely manner
- You are able to work independently in a rigorous, changing environment and remain flexible with priorities
- You are proficient in communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, both in written and verbal forms
Additional Details
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy, consisting of a minimum of two (2) days in Markham, Ontario, Canada office
- Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE's policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation
Salary Range: $21.00-$23.00 CAD hourly
