Located in Montreal, QC, IIM is a growing team of in-house investment professionals who manage over $30 billion in assets for institutional investors, including IFC and its subsidiaries’ and pension funds' assets.

Our team
We are a leader in the investment management industry. Our award-winning team of in-house experts currently includes 70 team members and is growing. IIM is comprised of seven teams including the Fixed Income, Equity, Private Investment, Asset Allocation, Compliance, Trading and Transactional Support teams.
We are looking for an Investment Analyst to join our Fixed Income team that is comprised of six portfolio managers and analysts with experience in the Canadian and U.S. markets.

What you’ll do here:
- Create and improve portfolio management tools.
- Collaborate with managers on the Fixed Income mandates.
- Meet with managers and suggest investment alternatives for portfolio optimization.
- Support the team in the trading of Fixed Income securities.
- Collaborate with the investment team on various ESG related projects.
- Support the managers in the preparation of executive presentations.
- Be at the heart of decision-making by participating in lively discussions at Fixed income team meetings.
- Take on stimulating special projects on various investment topics.
- Expand your knowledge of public markets through research.
- Attend meetings with sell-side analysts and economists.
What you bring to the table:
- Master’s degree in finance or a related field or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
- 0 to 3 years of experience in investments.
- Have or wish to obtain the CFA designation.
- Power user of Excel. Programming skills, an asset.
- Ease in navigating and consulting programs: Bloomberg, Capital IQ, VBA and/or SQL, an asset.
- Interested in and curious about investments, and more specifically the bond market.
- Enjoy working with colleagues and partners.
- Good analytical and synthesis skills, attention to detail.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Bilingualism (French / English) – Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
