Looking for an opportunity to participate and coordinate portfolio manager oversight activities, product development and manager searches as well as assistance in fund launches and ongoing Fund Management activities? We have a position for you within our Investment team!
Indeed, we are currently looking for an Senior Analyst / Associate Director - to join our Fund Management and Oversight team.
Working closely with the other members of the team, you will have the opportunity to participate in, lead and coordinate various Fund Management activities, conduct oversight of portfolio managers and of fund platforms as well as supporte product development and fund promotion. You will be called upon to put forward your communication, analytical, leadership and coordination skills in particular by performing the following tasks:
- Maintain relationships with several external managers, conduct regular due dilligence meetings including the evaluation of investment processes, analyze fund positioning, risk Management and performance using internal and external tools (Morningstar Direct).
- Develop and maintain various reports regarding the analysis of fund offerings in order to measure their quality and diversity and identify strengths and weaknesses in order to make recommendations.
- Identify and transmit to the lines of business the relevant information about management firms, investment strategies, positioning and fund performance.
- Initiate, lead and coordinate selection processes that not only considers the needs of our partners but also the optimization of these business relationships within IA Financial Group.
- Make recommandations regarding the construction and improvement of investment products using our internal expertise and / or those of external firms.
- Coordinate with various departments processes regarding fund launches, transformations and closures.
- Assist in the management of several fund structures using both our internal expertise and that of external firms. This may include supporting the team with transactions and periodic rebalancing or transformations of various funds using fund-of-fund structures.
- Assume strong leadership to support the lines of business in their development by assisting various representatives of the Investment team and by sharing our analyses and cross-disciplinary expertise during various projects.
- Coordinate various promotional activities involving our managers and create or support the production of documents highlighting certain funds to our networks.
- Represent IA and the Investment team with the various lines of business and their networks. This may include presenting the fund offering or providing more insights regarding some individual funds, explaining performance and positioning or providing visibility of our monitoring processes and tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance
- Master's degree in business administration or finance, an asset
- 5-8 years experience in a similar or relevant position
- CFA designation or be in the process of certification
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Excellent collaborator, high degree of motivation, autonomous, good communicator, strong leadership
- Bilingualism, both oral and written, is an asset
