The Ministry of the Solicitor General, Ontario Provincial Police, and the Communications & Technology Services Bureau is seeking a qualified individual to join our Strategic Projects Team. In this exciting, rewarding and challenging opportunity, you will provide support, analysis, advice and recommendations to management for the planning, development and implementation of technical solutions and business improvements in the Ontario Provincial Police.

What can I expect to do in this role?
To provide support, analysis, advice and recommendations to management for the planning, development and implementation of technical solutions and business improvements in the Ontario Provincial Police.How do I qualify?
Mandatory
- Ability to pass an OPP background/ security investigation.
- Ability to work on a regularly scheduled o-call basis.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of :- Hybrid Cross Platform custom applications, development and integration, including MS Dynamics 365, MS Power BI, On-Premise & Cloud; knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 customizations.
- Computer concepts, systems development methods and techniques; Testing and Deployment methodologies.
- Information architecture data modeling for enterprise applications, knowledge of application security concepts and multi-level security implementations for sensitive data driven solutions, object oriented and traditional structured programming knowledge, for example C#, JQuery, Java Scripting, Angular JS, SQL, Python; and other emerging technologies.
- Solution architecting and project management principles for IT implementation in multiple phases of the project life cycle.
- Current and emerging Microsoft Operating Systems for servers and desktops; Microsoft Office products and all related applications, for example: Microsoft® Azure Web Applications, Microsoft® Development Suites; Virtual Private Network hardware and software; Firewalls and Public Key Infrastructure applications; Network communication protocols; network architecture and topologies.
- Analytical and evaluative skills to resolve process model gaps, identify root cause, determine and resolve technical malfunctions; and recommend solutions such as programming/application changes and reconfiguration of hardware/software.
- Ability to develop dashboards and multidimensional analytics design.
