Description
The City of Prince Albert is seeking to fill the permanent position of IT Support Technician in the Corporate Services Department. This role is responsible and accountable for the provision of effective, accurate and timely end user device support services for The City of Prince Albert.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
Service/Support
Respond in a timely manner as the first point of contact for IT issues and support of personal computers, workstations, printers, peripherals, telephone systems, and cellular devices.
Diagnose, repair, and maintain software and hardware systems to ensure all programs and technology runs smoothly for employees.
Liaise with both business and infrastructure systems team members to assist in resolving problems with software products or City software systems.
Develop and maintain user manuals and standard operating procedures.
Train users to operate new or modified programs.
Required Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent certifications.
Minimum of three (3) years previous experience in a similar position.
Valid drivers license.
CompTIA A+ Certification would be an asset.
