Minimum Level of Education: Registered Journeyperson
Years of Related Experience: 3-5
Worksite Location: Destruction Bay, Yukon
LOA: $300 Per day
Travel: Flights paid for Edmonton - Whitehorse/travel time paid from White Horse to Destruction Bay
Shift: 12hrs per day (8 Regular & 4 OT Monday-Friday & 12hrs OT on Saturday & Sunday)

- Flights are paid for out of Alberta to Whitehorse, Yukon
- Travel from Whitehorse to Destruction Bay is paid.
- You MUST pay for your own hotel out of the LOA provided.
- Hotel rooms are to be booked at the Talbot Arm Motel.
Position Summary
We are seeking one (1) Electrical Journeypersons to support and be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the successful implementation and completion of project a demolition project in the Destruction Bay, Yukon. The successful candidates will report to the electrical foreman/general foreman.
Other responsibilities include:
- Reading & interpreting electrical/architectural drawings and electrical code specification.
- Pulling cables and cable tray installation.
- Wiring lighting fixtures, plugs, switches, control panels.
- Performing medium voltage terminations.
- Testing circuits to ensure integrity and safety.
- Troubleshooting and fixing defective circuits.
- Certified Journeyperson or Registered Apprentice Electrician.
- 3 years or more experience in oil 7 gas/industrial.
- Previous oil and construction industry experience.
- Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet quality standards.
- Self-starter requiring minimal supervision with the ability to multitask and define properties.
- Strong communicator & able to understand instructions and communicate effectively.
- Good understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code. FSR-B is an asset.
- Well organized, team player, strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
- Ticket required: CSTS 2020/WHMIS 2015 & Electrical Journeyman ticket.
