We are looking for Pipefitter Journeymen, Pipefitter Apprentices, Experienced Labourers and Picker Truck Operators to work in Grande Prairie.
Job Summary:
Our company seeks Pipefitter Journeymen, Pipefitter Apprentices, Picker Truck Operators and Experienced Labourers to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems, operate a two-ton picker truck, and hydrotest spools in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of piping systems
- Measure, cut, thread, pipes using hand and power tools
- Install and maintain piping systems, fixtures, and equipment
- Test piping systems for leaks using pressure gauges and other testing equipment
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to complete projects
- Follow safety procedures and adhere to industry standards and codes
- Work on a variety of pipe systems, including high-pressure and high-temperature pipelines
- Conduct maintenance and repair work on existing piping systems, valves, and other components
- Prepare work areas and ensure all necessary tools and equipment are available
- Maintain and operate picker truck
- Know how to rig piping and structural steel
- Ability to perform material takeoffs for piping systems based on project specifications
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients
Prerequisites:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and possess any necessary work permits or visas.
- Good knowledge of hand tools and threading equipment specific to the oil and gas industry
- Possession of a valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract
- Willingness to work out of town for extended periods of time as required by project needs
- Must pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test in compliance with industry regulations.
