Job description
Arctic Arrow Powerline Group is a powerline contractor with over 40 years’ experience building Western Canada’s electrical infrastructure, recently acquired by Java Holdings Ltd. Java staff have over 50 years of experience building some of Canada’s largest electrical infrastructure projects. We are seeking qualified Heavy Duty Technicians.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Red seal certification
- 2–3-year experience in both HD on & off-road equipment
- Knowledge in DOT compliance and regulated hours of service
- Electronic logbook operation
- Valid class 5 driver’s license w/airbrakes
- Field work may be required
- Maintain engine and hydraulic & grease regular service intervals
- Strong Electrical diagnostic troubleshooting
- Knowledge in modern emission system control device operation, diagnosis, and repair.
- Logical mechanical powertrain troubleshooting
- Comfortable in the use of OEM electronic diagnostic equipment
- Update and maintain service records
- Comfortable with occasional Heavy equipment operation
- Maintain safe operation of hand tools & power tools
- Adhere to corporate safety protocols
Preference will be given to those whom
- Have had a working knowledge with powerline construction specific equipment.
- Have a strong working knowledge in aerial lift and crane equipment
- Hold a valid Class 3 or 1 driver’s license
- Willing to mentor and train apprentice technicians
- Hold valid first aid training
- Certified/Willing to perform CVIP & AMVIC inspections
Hours
Overtime after 8 hours / day; weekend days/stat holidays
Double time after 11 hours
Regular Hours of work: (Monday to Friday, between 06:00 -18:00) Straight time applies 0-8 hours, Time and one half between 8 and 11 hours, Double time after 11 hours
LOA
$ 200.00 per day
Per Diem (In company provided accommodations) $ 70.00 per day

Salary: $50.44 per hour
