Our Next Junior Consultant....

Our Junior Consultant will provide a working knowledge of engineering and mining (junior technical expertise) to support integrated mine planning and closure solutions for our clients. This position will help to drive, provide input, and support the development of Okane's Engineering Technical group to provide our clients with standard and innovative ways to manage mine closure risks.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Prepare proficient technical documentation and reports in area of technical discipline at a junior level.
  • Plan and execute geo environmental based field investigations such as material sampling programs, monitoring, and construction QA/ QC.
  • Assisting with proposals of small scope and provide support on moderate proposals.
  • Interact competently with internal and external stakeholders of varying levels of expertise.
  • Foster and maintain client relationships.
  • Complete technical background reviews for project and conceptual model development.
  • Complete simulations of different disciplines within Okane conditions (as directed and reviewed by senior technical staff).
  • Update and maintain databases.

Job Requirements

  • If you are currently registered or eligible to register as an Engineer in Training or Professional Engineer, and/or have experience on projects requiring environmental or civil engineering skills, we want to hear from you.
  • Educational background in environmental, civil, geotechnical or mining engineering is an asset.
  • Apply technical knowledge at a working level.
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills.
  • Advanced skills in the areas of time management, planning and organizing.
  • Demonstrate an ability to competently use their initiative to resolve tasks or problems that arise.
  • Demonstrate an ability to communicate clearly with colleagues.
  • Actively seek personal and professional development opportunities.
  • Candidate must be in or willing to relocate to Cranbrook, BC.
