Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team. This individual will primarily focus on bookkeeping for our clients and will also engage in higher-level accounting tasks and payroll responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a student pursuing a degree in Accounting or someone who has completed an accounting program, possesses the ability to work independently, and is committed to delivering excellent customer service.

The hourly rate for this role is between $28 and $30 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct full cycle bookkeeping tasks and accounting duties for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Prepare and process payroll for multiple clients as needed.
• Ensure accuracy of sales tax data for appropriate filings
• Work independently to manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and address inquiries.
• Provide excellent customer service and high quality work, establishing and maintaining positive client relationships

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled or recently completed an Accounting program or related field.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in accounting software and tools.
• Quickbooks, Google apps, 17hats, Click up or similar softwares an asset
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Previous customer service experience is a plus.
