The Role
STRIVE has partnered with an esteemed client and is recognized as one of the Top 100 Best Employers and they are looking to add an AP Clerk/Administrative Assistant to the team at their Delta location.
The main duties of the AP Clerk/Administrative Assistant include assisting in providing administrative support to the team, especially the Accounting team, processing audits, supporting with data entry, ledgers, reconciliation, and processing a large volume of invoices with strong attention to detail. This position covers shift times fully on-site from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Monday to Friday. This role would be perfect for someone who enjoys variety in their role!!
Responsibilities
- Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Charging expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries
- Paying vendors by verifying tax ID numbers, scheduling & preparing checks, and resolving purchase orders, contracts, invoices, or payment discrepancies and documentation
- Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
- Perform other tasks related to the 5-day close of accounts payables cycle
- Prepare monthly journal entries for various accruals and other general journal entries as needed
- Provide support and answer questions related to reports when needed
- Respond to various queries from other departments
- Prepare ad hoc reports
- File documents as needed
- Reception coverage as well when required
- Other daily routine duties
- Some audit year-end work
- 1+ years of full cycle accounting.
- Strong Accounting knowledge
- Experience creating journal entries preferred
- Weekend work during audits may be required
- Experience with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are critical
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
- Must have a high level of enthusiasm and initiative and strong follow-through
- Proven ability to handle deadlines and pressure in a constantly evolving environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English required

- $50,000-$65,000 annually
