Key Responsibilities
- Prepare period end accrual and other journal entries to accurately record transactions.
- Prepare various account reconciliations and follow up as necessary to resolve any reconciling items.
- Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
- Analysis of results.
- Preparation of ad-hoc accounting reports.
- Assist with interim, annual, and other financial audits.
- Work closely with cross-functional departments to ensure proper coding of expenses and journal entries.
- Work with all stakeholders to drive efficiencies, save costs and challenge the status quo to ensure targets are delivered.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar.
- Prior experience working in accounting, posting journal entries and preparing reconciliations.
- Ability to think critically, identify issues, interpret, and apply accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork.
Preferred
- Interested in pursuing an accounting designation.
- Ability to effectively communicate in an open and direct manner, is detailed orientated and able to convey information clearly and concisely with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong ability to work within a team as well as an ability to take initiative and work independently.
