SalaryProconsul Construction Ltd. is Edmonton based construction company specializes in wide range of asphalt, concrete, snow removal and site maintenance services. We are looking for a professional who is ready to step in for Junior Estimator, Project Coordinator role.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Attend site meetings to determine scope of work and take measurements.
- Monitor tendering websites for new, existing tenders.
- Review tenders to determine scope of works.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, addendums and all project related information.
- Complete quantities take offs to be input into estimating system.
- Assemble accurate and well organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner for construction projects.
- Maintain relationships with sub-contractors and clients.
- Provide and maintain unit pricing and database for material and labor costing.
- Meet with potential clients to discuss options for proposed services
- Follow up on submitted proposals.
Qualifications and Experience
- Graduate from recognized engineering, architectural or construction management program is an asset.
- Minimum 1 year estimating experience in similar field.
- Experience with estimating software and spreadsheet design.
- Experience with Microsoft products (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams)
- Ability to use quantity take-off software (Bluebeam)
- Exceptional communication skills both verbal and writing.
Work Environment
- Full time office based position. 5 Days a week with possible Saturdays.
- Salary position with quarterly bonuses based on performance.
