Junior Project Manager (Space)

CGI Space has an exciting opportunity for a junior technical Project Manager to deliver mission-critical systems integration projects. The Junior Project Manager will have the support of an established Programme Manager/Delivery Director and Design Authority to build Project and bid Management skills and responsibility.
The junior PM will deliver against an agreed baseline, while managing the project team, finances, reporting, schedule and risks. This will require direct interaction with the client, end-users and partner organisations, so presentational and interpersonal skills are important.
Please note: Due to the nature of our projects, we cannot always access systems from home and therefore require candidates to be able to travel to our Leatherhead office 1-2 times per week so please consider when applying.

• Demonstrated ability to understand high level technical concepts and communicate issues clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Work collaboratively and building strong working relationships
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including documentation of work instruction and local procedures
• Working in a fast moving, complex Customer oriented environment
• Project financing and reporting experience (PM qualifications such as PMP, Prince 2 or APM beneficial but not essential)
• previous experience working on projects within Aviation, Space, Defence would be highly advantageous
• Hybrid working with Leatherhead base, working there alongside team at least one day a week (preferably two), other days remote
