Junior Project Manager

We are looking for an individual who is able to assist a Project Manager on $5 - $25+ million dollar residential, commercial and Institutional developments.

• Hotels, office buildings, shopping centers and warehouses

The position

You're an experienced Junior Project Manager/coordinator with at least 2+ years of experience working in multi-disciplinary residential, commercial and Institutional construction projects. You will perform quantity take-offs, cost analysis, sub-trade negotiations, competitive bid management, schedule projects, and help manage the overall construction of the building. This is an office-based position that requires some travel to job sites for meetings etc.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the Construction Industry (required)
• 2 years of progressive experience in construction cost estimating and/or project management with a general contractor on residential/commercial projects between $5 and $25 million.
• Post-secondary diploma or a degree in a related discipline (PMP, Eng an asset)
• Strong technical knowledge of modern construction practices, techniques and able to analyzes plans, specifications, proposals, and determine site requirements and logistics.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with construction software (Timberline, Bluebeam is an asset)
