Job description

Your Opportunity:

In the heart of the Canadian Badlands in Southern Alberta, Drumheller offers visitors a unique combination of spectacular scenery and interesting things to do – think Jurassic Park! Rolling fields suddenly give way to steep, dry coulees ridged with the strata of hundreds of years of erosion by time, wind and water. Through it all, the tranquil Red Deer River gently makes its way through parkland and a myriad of recreational opportunities. Drumheller is rich with facilities: The Aquaplex, with indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub, steam room, etc, the Memorial Arena where you can take skating lessons or take in a game of hockey, and the Badlands Community Facility; a modern banquet hall which houses a state-of-the art fitness and recreation centre as well as vibrant and creative arts and culture venues. Come to Drumheller – there is nowhere quite like it in Alberta! Located 150 km from Calgary and 163 km from Red Deer, we serve a population service area of approximately 20,000. Our hospital has 33 Acute Care Beds, 96 Long Term Care Beds, and 4 Restorative Beds. Clinical services include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, maternity, Cancer Clinic and Dialysis. The hospital has a busy Emergency and Outpatient Department and is the only collection site for community patients.
