Land Use Planner

Land developer seeks an experienced urban and Land Use Planner to manage its development projects in southern Ontario. Applicant with CIP membership or equivalent is preferred.

Duties include developing Land Use plans, policies, manage studies and reports for a variety of properties. Successful candidate will understand some architectural, engineering, environmental, economic, sociological, cultural, legal, governmental and political affairs concepts. Dialogue with regional, municipal, provincial and federal authorities to develop and recommend land development concepts and plans for zoning, subdivision, parks and other Land Uses. Present plans at town hall meetings, to civic authorities and other interested groups. Review official plans and zoning by laws to assess possible uses and present proposals to the developer. Process applications for zoning changes, official plan amendments, committee of adjustments and other Land Use variances .Administer and supervise the development process with engineers and other professionals.

Minimum 3 years experience working with a planning firm, development company or in regional or city Land Use planning department.

Salary: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
