Landscape Construction - Crew Lead

Bradbosh Landscaping and Snow Removal Inc. has an opening for a team member within our Landscape Construction division. Under the direction of Supervisors you will be responsible for a variety of tasks. An ideal candidate would possess a strong work ethic, experience building different hardscape features, should have a desire to work outdoors in a fast paced team atmosphere as well as possess an eye for detail. An ability to measure and cut with various power and manual tools is essential. We are a COR certified company and believe safety is paramount. 2-3 years Landscape construction experience is a required, with experience laying paving stone patio's, retaining walls, laying sod, planting trees and operating skid steers and equipment associated with Landscape construction. We are looking for a self starter and motivated individuals who take pride in their work.

Basic/Required Qualification

• Valid Driver’s License will be given preference and ability to provide copy of driver’s abstract
• Working knowledge of the use of common hand and power tools relative to Landscape Construction and snow removal
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions
• Ability to maintain simple records and make verbal reports
• Strong adherence to Bradbosh safety policies and protocol
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Required Qualifications

• Skid steer and other landscape equipment experience
• Previous landscaping and/or construction experience
• Ability to take direction, learn and work independently as well as part of a team
• Motivated and energetic team player with an attention to detail and great work ethic
• Ability to grade accurately, lay sod, install paving stone and retaining walls and have great eye for detail.
• Valid Class 5 license
• Ability to drive truck and trailer an asset

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

• Ability to perform moderate to heavy intensive tasks for extended periods of time
• Working in a variety of outdoor environments with the ability to withstand cold and hot temperatures
• Cold weather, on-call during winter months

• Significant standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling
• Repetitive Motions
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push and pull weights of up to 50 - 100 lbs
