The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Landscape Foreman/Forewoman will play a key role in enhancing the overall guest experience by ensuring all of our outdoor areas are kept in pristine condition at all times. The Landscaper will ensure that the grounds of the resort are attractive, orderly, and healthy in order to provide a pleasant outdoor environment. You are also required to assist the maintenance team with repairs to resort offerings as needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Plants and trims lawns, trees, Flowers, bushes, hedges, and shrubs using hand tools or motorized vehicles
- Landscapes new ground areas, repairs damaged ground areas, replaces bushes, hedges, shrubs, and trees
- Cares for and maintains flowerbeds; fertilizes soil when needed for plant growth
- Ensure the grassy areas are kept healthy and are mown on a regular basis
- Spring, Summer, Fall fertilizer treatments
- Repair deficiencies throughout the resort as required
- Assist the Maintenance team with tasks as required
- All other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Must be able to understand, speak, read and write English at a high school level.
- Must possess superior listening skills and be able to communicate effectively in a busy and noisy environment
- Knowledge of hotel property, facilities, history and region
- Experience using lawn equipment and basic tools
- This position requires minimal guest facing time however we expect all employees to interact with guests, if the situation arises, in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
- High school diploma I preferred
Supervision & Budget Authority
- This role does not have any supervisory or budgetary authority
Physical Environment
- Job requires you to be on your feet 100% of your shift.
- Be in good physical condition to perform extensive walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, reaching and stretching.
- Utilizing equipment and chemicals
- Must be able to lift 40lbs
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
