Housekeeping
Qualifications:
Previous housekeeping/Laundry experience
Knowledge of infection control principles and workplace safety requirements
Police background clearance for vulnerable persons sector
Experience in a Long-Term Care Home or with seniors preferred
Skills:
Cooperative team player
Ability to speak, read and write English and to follow oral and written directions
Understanding and empathy for the needs of seniors
Good understanding of chemical and equipment use
Areas of Responsibility:
Follow assignment, assemble required materials and supplies, load/unload laundry machines, fold and transport clean laundry to home areas
Use specified cleaning/disinfecting/sanitizing agents, and follow specific procedures, work patterns and routines
Label clothing for new residents following prescribed procedures within timelines. Attend inservice programs arranged by the Home.
Demonstrate personal attributes and communication skills that foster customer satisfaction at all times
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Manager
Contribute to a home environment for residents that ensure the values of Primacare Living Solutions are maintained and upheld.
