Laundry Attendant

Job brief

We are looking for an attentive Laundry Attendant to support the functions of our establishment and the needs of our customers.

A Laundry Attendant’s responsibilities include cleaning, pressing and folding laundry as needed. They may also be responsible for the maintenance of laundry equipment and other duties around the facility.

Ultimately, you will play a crucial role in the presentation of the establishment by ensuring all textiles are well cared for and maintained.

Responsibilities

-Sort, wash, dry, and fold hotel linens and towels

-Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and ironing machines

-Track maintenance and repairs on laundering equipment

-Ensure that the facility remains clean at all times Inspect linens for stains or damage and report any issues to the supervisor

-Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area

-Follow proper procedures for handling and storing laundry chemicals

-Assist with inventory management of linens and supplies

-Collecting soiled linen from the floors

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a hotel or similar environment is preferred
- Knowledge of laundry procedures and equipment operation
- Attention to detail to ensure high-quality laundering of linens
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.00-$17.39 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
