Our busy Chilliwack office has a unique opening for a General Office Assistant. This may potentially be an opportunity for past mature Legal Administrative Assistants who may have left the profession to raise a family, who wish to return to a career on a partial-day basis with younger children at home.
A sample ideal schedule could be Monday through Friday, 9:00 pm – 3:00 pm., but this is negotiable and flexible. Preferred applicants may also possess the flexibility to be available full-time (given notice) for Trial preparation or other unexpected requirements.
The scope of duties includes, but is not limited to:
– Standard administrative processes such as filing, time entry, scanning, photocopying and binder assembly;
– Assisting with general mail and/or Courthouse documents;
– Closing files and other general tasks as assigned by three Paralegals in the Department.
An important criteria for the successful candidate is their sincere interest in ongoing general administrative employment. In your application, please explain why this type of position is preferable for you.
