Position requirements:
Training or experience as a Legal Assistant
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong grammatical, proofreading, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Word and Excel
Skills to prioritize and work on several projects at once
Experience working on high volume projects with time sensitive (short) deadlines and confidential materials
Stand-out qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in litigation or criminal law area
Great attention to detail
Proficient with preparing, serving, and filing court documents at Court of Kings Bench
Knowledge of the Court of Appeal procedures
Experience in independently drafting basic documents and reports
