Responsibilities:
- Assist patrons with locating and checking out library materials
- Organize and maintain library collections, including shelving books and other materials
- Perform data entry tasks to update library records and databases
- Conduct research to assist patrons in finding relevant information
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and providing assistance
- Assist with organizing and promoting library events and programs
- Process interlibrary loan requests and manage returned materials
- Assist with basic technology troubleshooting for library patrons
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills to maintain library collections and keep them in order
- Proficiency in file management to ensure efficient retrieval of library materials
- Ability to collect and analyze data for reporting purposes
- Excellent written communication skills for writing reports, memos, and other documents
- Familiarity with library databases and online resources for research purposes
- Typing skills to efficiently enter data into library systems
- Strong customer service skills to interact with patrons in a friendly and helpful manner
- Effective verbal communication skills to assist patrons and answer their questions
