Loader Operator

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operates and maintains farm machinery and equipment including, but not limited to Front End Loaders.
• Ensures daily maintenance of fluid levels and cleaning of equipment.
• Dips wheat straw bales in recycled water and then stacks them to sit for 6-7 days to heat up and soften the straw.
• Puts straw through the bale break line.
• Ensures addition of DPW (chicken manure) and water and then puts the mixture into a Bunker.
• Responsible for flipping the compost every 3-4 days into another bunker, mixing and adding more water.
• Washing/cleaning and proper maintenance of all Wharf equipment and premises.
• Maintains strict hygiene at all times.
• Operating dump trucks to dispose of stems and spent compost.
• Driving wagons to move compost to filling rooms, as needed.
• Performs any other duties that may be assigned as required.

Qualifications:

• Must be eligible to work in Canada.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• 3-5 years of experience operating a loader preferred.
• Prior experience or training in the operation of heavy equipment.
