What does your day at GIP look like?

• Operation of Wheel Loader to load haul trucks, assist with crushing and other aggregate processing activities, loading/unloading construction materials on trailers and other various duties.
• Operate weigh scale and computer and print weigh tickets.
• Perform preventative maintenance as required.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
• Follow safe working procedures and wear proper personal protective equipment.

• Must be able to operate a large wheel loader in a safe and efficient manner.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Ability to adapt and adjust to various other assignments as requested by the Supervisor.
• Valid Driver’s License and clear driver's abstract is preferred.
• Must be able to work some Saturdays or night shifts as needed.
• Results-driven with an ability to deliver success in a fast-paced environment.
• Outcome focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyse and visualize to ensure continuous improvement across our business.
• Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives.
• Superb communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities.

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• Loader operation: 4 years (preferred)
• Construction: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

• Kingston, ON (required)
