Job Summary:

The Logistics Clerk position performs a variety of clerical functions to support Mill Logistics operations with respect to internal transfer / external sale of steel products to Gerdau customers. The required skills include typing, basic mathematical calculations, filing, organization, strong communication skills (both verbal and written), and efficient computer skills. Knowledge of and experience with SAP is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year of clerical experience is required; degree/diploma preferred.

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Create Purchase Orders for service requests and process receiving through Arbia .
• Manage the Fleet truck account through the enterprise application.
• Set up Vendor accounts to streamline process.
• Create freight rates for bins and van trailers when required.
• Report any carrier / customer service failures to Supervisor.
• Act as backup to Logistics Analyst when required.
• Process delegated Purchase Orders approved by the Logistics Supervisor.
• Maintain inventory of office supplies for department.
