Job Overview:
The core responsibility of this position will be to coordinate the movement of shipments throughout North America. You will be required to learn all positions within the department so you can assist as necessary during peak periods. In order to ensure you are exceeding the high level of standards within the department, you will work closely with the Operations Supervisor.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Organize and send load tendering
- Track shipments from pickup through to delivery accurately
- Source carriers, review and ensure we are constantly utilizing the most cost effective option
- Adapt and assist team with overflow of work
- Ensure all problems are escalated to supervisor.
- Communicate with Mexico on any updates, delays or any changes with loads.
- Communicate with shippers and terminals when discrepancies arise.
- Active involvement with problem solving OSD issues.
- Work with accounting to resolve any outstanding issues and minimize our exposure.
- Data entry and administrative duties as required.
