We are currently seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team in Nisku, Alberta. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery to ensure efficient production processes. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in blueprint reading, lathe operation, basic math skills, and a strong attention to detail.
Duties (included but not limited to):
- Machine Operators set up tooling and CNC programming of various bending and metal roll forming machinery for the purpose of manufacturing metal building components.
- Machine operators work with many types of metal including but not limited to black and galvanized steel, pre-painted steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency
Skills and Abilities:
The work is most rewarding for people who enjoy developing special skills and putting them to use in a variety of ways.
To be successful, Machine Operators need:
- Previous experience in a Machine Operator capacity
- A mechanical aptitude
-Strength, stamina and the use of proper lifting techniques required to handle heavy tools and parts weighing up to 25 Kilograms;
- Eye-hand coordination, spatial and form perception, good eyesight and manual dexterity
- The ability to visualize a finished product from a drawing
- A good background in practical mathematics, geometry and blueprint reading
- The ability to stand for long periods, do some moderately heavy lifting and carrying in a noisy place.
- Accuracy, Dependability and strong attention to detail
- The ability to work in a shop environment
- Training in the use of overhead craines
- Computer skills necessary for operation of the control panel
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
