Machine Shop Planner

Adecco is currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Machine Shop Planner to join our clients team for a Temporary role in Ajax, ON. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of production schedules, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and addressing unforeseen changes to meet the Master Production Schedule.

• Pay rate: $24-$27/hour.

• Location: Ajax, ON

• Shifts: Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:00pm and Friday 7:30am-12:30pm

• Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities: As a Buyer, your responsibilities will include:

• Establishing and managing detailed schedules aligned with the Master Production Schedule (MPS).

• Active participation in weekly MPS meetings and providing support for shop commitments.

• Vigilantly monitoring production, identifying issues impacting deliveries, and expediting processes when necessary.

• Conducting thorough load and capacity balance analyses, running load & capacity assessments, and collaborating closely with production team leaders.

• Comprehensive management of the Work Order Life Cycle, including reviewing and actioning work order reschedule messages based on MRP recommendations.

• Integrating the impact of non-quality into plans, liaising with Quality regarding non-conformances, and prioritizing accordingly.

• Efficiently managing master data in the ERP system related to the shop, ensuring accurate materials planning data parameters.

Requirements: We are looking for candidates with:

• Profound knowledge of production planning fundamentals (MRP2 principles, e.g., APICS).

• Familiarity with ERP usage and adept use of MS Office software.

• Strong leadership acumen and decisive decision-making skills.

• A collaborative and self-motivated approach to teamwork.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

• Results-oriented mindset with adaptability to dynamic circumstances.

• Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
