Overview of the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the facility and equipment are operational, efficient, and maintained. You will ensure that preventative maintenance programs are followed and improved upon to reduce down-time and production costs. You will lead and mentor the maintenance team consisting of Millwrights and Electricians.

- Maintain a professional relationships internally and externally
- Continuous Improvement mindset; you want to make improvements and reduce costs
- Excellent trouble shooting skills able to work collaboratively with all departments
- Effective communication skills, able to coordinate work orders to team
You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
- Journeyperson ticket/license or Engineering Education preferred
- Leadership experience, leading maintenance teams preferred
- Proven hands-on experience within food industry or high-speed packaging plant preferred
- Working knowledge of SAP CMMS would be an asset
How you will make contributions that matter:
- Provide leadership to maintenance personnel through coaching and mentoring
- Supervision, evaluation and motivation of personnel to ensure work is completed efficiently, effectively and safely
- Ensure the efficient and effective use of labour, equipment and material resources
- Liaise with the Production Department to monitor and maximize machine efficiencies
- Ensure Contractors are in compliance with the Saputo Contractor Safety Programs
- Maintain effective internal and external working relationships
- Hold employees accountable for complying with all facility Health & Safety requirements and provincial regulations
- Conduct daily inspection of work area
