Maintenance Team Member - Seasonal

MAINTENANCE TEAM MEMBER: Position Description

• All duties of exterior property maintenance such as spring and fall clean-ups, grass and lawn care, tree trimming, brush removal, garbage & junk removal, barging and delivery services.
• Dockside garbage and recycling collection services on Lake Muskoka, Rosseau and Joseph from Victoria Day to Thanksgiving.

MAINTENANCE TEAM MEMBER: Working Conditions

• Your day-to-day work can consist of working on water on our barges or working on land at a client’s property or the owner’s farm and property.
• Work weeks are seasonal / weather dependent – Monday to Friday. Must be able to commit to 1 Saturday per month from May to August.
• Job is physically demanding and outdoors. Work in inclement weather conditions. Manual lifting and carrying. Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure.

MAINTENANCE TEAM MEMBER: Job Requirements

• Must have reliable transportation to and from work daily.
• Punctual and dependable. Must be a team player. Work independently if required with little supervision.
• Experience in landscape maintenance and related equipment including leaf blowers, trimmers, chippers, mowers, etc.
• Will need to complete online training courses (WHIMS, Ladder Training and Worker Health & Safety Awareness) before start date.
• Steel-toed safety boots, eye and ear protection and gloves required.
• The dress code of company t-shirts and sweatshirts required to be worn. Two T-shirts and one sweatshirt will be provided when hired.

Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
