Alberta Health Services is looking for a Maintenance Worker I for Red Deer Regional Hospital and other health care facilities within Red Deer. The Maintenance Worker I role is an entry level position that will perform routine tasks related to groundskeeping and facility maintenance. Grounds maintenance duties include snow removal, lawn mowing, general cleanup of our grounds and parking lots, and performing minor repairs and servicing of grounds equipment. Facilities maintenance duties include performing minor maintenance tasks and assisting other tradespersons or maintenance staff as needed. If you have experience with fleet commercial vehicles, truck and trailer towing, skid steer and tractor operations, then this may be the opportunity for you to join our team. We are looking for a safety conscientious individual who can perform the duties listed above in an effective and safe manner, who enjoys working outside and independently or part of a small team, and who wants to help support our efforts towards effective health care maintenance.
Description:
As a Maintenance Worker I, you may perform routine tasks related to grounds keeping and facility maintenance. Working independently and/or as part of team, you may maintain lawns, flowerbeds, trees and shrubs, collect and dispose garbage, remove snow and ice, spread salt and sand, clean mechanical rooms and shop areas, and assist tradespeople and other maintenance staff as needed.
