Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a contracted Maintenance Worker to join our growing Property Management firm in the Niagara Region. The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for servicing properties throughout the Niagara region, responding to our resident's service needs and helping to ensure customer satisfaction. We will provide the successful applicant with assignments and full-time hours. If you are a handy, reliable self-starter looking to grow your maintenance business, this could be the role for you!

The Offer:

Role:Maintenance Worker

Start Date: Immediately

Hours: Full Time (Contract), 40 hours per week

Wage: $27.00+ per hour based on experience

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Servicing various properties throughout the region as assigned via Building Platform
• Performing maintenance and repairs in the areas of building assembly, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and general maintenance
• Communicating regularly with Property Managers, notifying immediately of any emergencies or issues
• Performing preventive maintenance and maintaining accurate records of all work completed
• Maintaining cooperative working relationships with staff and interacting positively with tenants
• Maintaining inventory and keeping own tools in good shape
• Adhering to all health and safety standards at every site

What You Bring:

• A minimum of 1-year professional experience as a Maintenance Worker, preferably in a property management environment
• Excellent knowledge of various maintenance functions, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, building assembly, and major building components
• Knowledge of provincial, local, and building codes
• Ability to build excellent relationships with prospects/tenants
• Ability to diagnose and problem solve maintenance issues
• Reliability and flexibility, ability to respond to after hour emergencies
• Willingness and ability to learn new technology
• A valid, unrestricted G license is required to travel throughout the region
• Must possess own truck and tools

Job Types: Contract, Full-time

Salary: From $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• On call
• Weekends as needed

Experience:
